Job Description

Boeing Digital Aviation Solutions (DAS) is actively seeking an Artificial Intelligence Risk and Compliance Specialist for our Englewood, CO location. This role is integral to guiding and advancing compliance and risk management strategies for our AI technologies, ensuring they align with the highest ethical and technical standards including the EU AI Act, ISO/IEC 42001, and other relevant frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the DAS AI risk and compliance framework in accordance with ISO/IEC 42001 standards, EASA’s AI roadmap, FAA regulations, and other AI-related standards.
  • Monitor and report on regional and international developments, standards, and regulations concerning AI risk and compliance.
  • Lead AI risk assessment initiatives, identifying potential operational, legal, strategic, and ethical risks, and collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate these risks.
  • Manage AI compliance and risk documentation and reporting processes to ensure transparency and traceability.
  • Design and oversee training programs on AI compliance, ethical AI use, and risk management for DAS staff.
  • Advise on AI system design and modifications from a safety, compliance, and ethical perspective.

Work Arrangement

This position is hybrid, requiring some onsite work at our Englewood, CO office. The arrangement is subject to change at the hiring team’s discretion. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Experience in compliance or risk management with a focus on technology applications, preferably within aviation, energy, or automotive sectors.
  • A critical and enthusiastic perspective on AI technologies.
  • Understanding of current AI developments and the ability to explain these to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills to foresee compliance challenges.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining compliance and risk management documentation.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Law, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Compliance, Risk Management, or a closely related field.
  • Experience with ISO management frameworks and AI-related risk management is highly desirable.

Typical Education & Experience

Academic qualifications typically include a Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and work experience (e.g., PhD+4 years, Master+7 years, 13+ years). This is preferred but not required.

Pay Range: $124,100.00 - $167,900.00
