About the Role

Agoda is seeking an Associate Director, Analytics & Insights to lead strategic and operational initiatives that foster both growth and efficiency in the Supply department. You will work closely with multiple stakeholders, including executive leadership and various cross-functional departments, to implement key initiatives successfully. In this role, you'll explore new business opportunities, analyze complex scaling challenges, and enhance existing operations.

Key Responsibilities

This role is a blend of hands-on "in the business" and executive-level "on the business" work. You will enjoy rolling up your sleeves, leading a team, and contributing to the strategy.

Project Delivery:

Manage, standardize, and validate the structure of business cases for product development, headcount, engineering resources, budgets, and general strategic and roadmap prioritization.

Experimentation:

Define success, measure and validate experiments, and promote an experimental mindset within the teams.

Forecasting and Insights:

Provide macro-led business intelligence to prevent missed opportunities, overcome organizational obstacles, and drive commercial behaviors.

Analytics & Alerts:

Conduct quantitative analysis, data mining, and presentation of business metrics. Identify drivers and build a communication framework based on business value, effort, and urgency.

Process Improvement:

Collaborate with all teams to drive inter- and intra-departmental efficiencies, optimize processes, and prioritize system enhancements.

Reporting:

Create dashboards, internal/external reports, and present key datasets to enable all team members to monitor performance efficiently and prioritize their efforts.

Leadership:

Lead a small team of experts to deliver the above functions while mentoring team members across the chain and connectivity teams.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 8+ years of leadership experience in analytics, data science, insights, or strategy
  • 5+ years’ experience managing analytics, operational, product, or technical teams
  • Expertise in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python, and R
  • Strong knowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning
  • Proven capability to derive data insights and provide business recommendations
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and coordinate resources effectively
  • Strong program/project management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a business or quantitative field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, engineering, economics, or finance)
  • Experience articulating strategic issues and negotiating with C-level executives, leading strategy consulting projects is a plus
  • Proven track record of developing talent and managing teams
  • Ability to drive projects independently, working efficiently to deliver results while engaging stakeholders throughout the process

Preferred Qualifications

It’s great if you have:

  • A Master’s degree in statistics, economics, mathematics, or a similar discipline
  • Experience conducting A/B testing experiments
  • Experience in the travel industry, e-commerce, tech, or consulting
