Position Overview: Software Engineer (RPA)
As a Software Engineer (RPA) at DrFirst, you will be responsible for building automations identified by our Business Analysis and Product teams. You will primarily work with Automation Anywhere and other tools in DrFirst’s tech stack. You will be expected to apply existing, new, and emerging technologies to evolving business and operating models.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing Robotic Process Automations using Automation Anywhere
- Working with Delivery Manager, Solutions Architect, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders to identify and define requirements
- Collaborating with business and technical SMEs to define automations, business rules, and exceptions
- Contributing to and authoring technical design documents (TDD) and process design documents (PDD)
- Identifying and creating reusable automation components to ensure consistency in design across use-cases
- Developing automations/customizations utilizing Python, Automation Anywhere, and other tools
- Installing Automation Anywhere software and required third-party libraries and components
- Collaborating with DevOps/Platform Engineering to develop CI-CD pipelines for Automation Anywhere, including automated test execution
- Implementing Bot throughput logging, auditing, and exception handling
- Contributing to and planning Automation Anywhere/automation stack upgrades
- Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business and IT
- Estimating development efforts and providing guidance on development timelines, risks, and constraints
- Conducting code reviews with peers to ensure adherence to requirements and coding standards
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Automation Anywhere Robotics Process Automation development
- 2+ years of experience working with fast-paced or agile project delivery methodologies
- Experience in developing and managing packages in Automation Anywhere for external consumption
- Automation Anywhere RPA Developer Certification
- Strong knowledge of the Robotic Enterprise Framework
- Hands-on coding experience with Python
- Experience using Automation Anywhere Credential Manager for maintaining, securing, and retrieving user credentials
- End-to-end process automation using Automation Anywhere, including staging and deploying the automation solution into test and live environments
