About the Role

As an Azure Data Architect, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing modern data solutions for our clients. This includes data ingestion and pipeline design, data warehouse and data lake architectures, cognitive computing, and leveraging cloud services. With over 150 professionals in our large Azure data team, you will also have the opportunity to mentor and shape the future of our data practices.

You will serve as a local expert, presenting to customers, promoting our capabilities, and supporting the delivery of our data projects. Your work will ensure that we continue to be the cornerstone of delivery success, as you make key decisions and collaborate with our technical resources and project managers.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• 5+ years' experience leading data solution engagements from design to implementation.
• Proficiency in Spark-based data platforms on public clouds, with at least 2 full life cycle Azure data platform deployments.
• Extensive experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks.
• Strong knowledge in SQL, Data Modeling, and data lakehouse concepts.
• Programming or scripting experience in Python and Scala.
• A deep understanding of Azure foundation and cloud engineering concepts such as networking and security.
• Experience in Agile development methods and familiar with tools like JIRA and Git.
• Certifications in architecture, data engineering and development from Azure (preferred).

Data Specialization Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Define and implement end-to-end modern data platforms using Azure services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and define required data structures and pipelines.
• Act as the technical liaison between customers and engineering teams.
• Educate customers on the value of cloud and big data services, serving as a big data evangelist.

General Consultancy Duties

Your consultancy responsibilities will include:

• Presenting recommendations and developing deep relationships with clients.
• Leading the professional services elements of proposals and responses to RFPs/RFIs.
• Helping customers identify gaps in their data strategy and recommending improvements.
