Job Summary
The Business Intelligence Developer will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our business intelligence systems. This remote-based position, which may require occasional site visits, reports to the Senior Business Intelligence Developer.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Senior Business Intelligence Developer to maintain and enhance the Power BI suite of reports.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy automated reports and dashboards using Power BI and other tools.
- Understand database concepts including relational and multidimensional database design.
- Design impactful data models by translating business requirements into BI solutions.
- Develop technical specifications and accurately scope project timelines.
- Create detailed charts and documentation describing techniques, models, and relationships used.
- Utilize Power BI Desktop to create dynamic dashboards, KPI scorecards, and visual reports.
- Integrate and manipulate data from various sources for business intelligence purposes.
Required Experience and Skills
- Proficiency with SSRS, TSQL, Power Query, MDX, PowerBI, and DAX on the MS SQL Server BI Stack.
- Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder and end-user interaction.
- Strong analytical skills for converting data into insightful reports.
- Experience with data warehousing, data gateway, and data preparation projects.
- Advanced knowledge of Power BI and familiarity with SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS components.
- Ability to articulate and analyze solutions and collaborate on documentation and modeling.
- Strong understanding of DAX, intermediate SQL skills, M-Query, and basic Python knowledge.
- Basic understanding of ADF or Fabric Pipelines.
- Expertise in SQL queries, SSRS, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
