About the Role: Clinical Data Engineer (Remote)

Our Clinical Data Science team is at the forefront of using data to drive healthcare innovation. We are seeking a skilled Clinical Data Engineer to enhance our Physician Practice Services (PPS) by developing robust data processes and pipelines within a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. This role involves a blend of technical expertise and stakeholder collaboration to support our mission of advancing health care quality and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines that integrate resource systems both within and external to CHS.
• Collaborate with business units to produce data visualizations, custom reports, and automated solutions for data tasks.
• Ensure the integrity and quality of clinical data through rigorous analysis and troubleshooting.

Position Details

This is a remote position with occasional travel required to our headquarters in Franklin, TN for strategic meetings.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum one year of experience with cloud-based platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake) for advanced data processing.
• Proven ability in using Python & SQL for developing and deploying data pipelines.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• GCP Professional Cloud Data Engineer Certification.
• Advanced degree in a related field.
• Experience in handling large-scale healthcare datasets.

Physical Requirements

The role requires typical physical demands for office-based work, including reading data on screens, occasional lifting, and routine office movement. Most tasks are performed in a comfortable indoor environment.
