Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, self-starter with a charismatic personality to join our Cloud Infrastructure Architect team, also known as the VCF Specialist team. This team focuses on driving business transformation and accelerating the adoption of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) to realize private cloud solutions.

This role is centered around cutting-edge technologies related to Generative AI, Cloud Infrastructure, and Cyber Security. As part of our Pre-Sales Engineering team, you will engage with VMware Cloud Foundation, Private AI Foundation, and Infrastructure Automation products.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the automation of cloud infrastructure and AIOps for Generative AI services.
• Support the automation of Private Cloud/IT operations and implement multi-tenant architectures in on-premises data centers.
• Deliver self-service portals and educate customers on data center automation, encompassing VMs, containers, and network/security services via VMware NSX and AVI Load Balancer.
• Provide technical knowledge of NVIDIA's LLM, RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation), and vGPU in relation to Private AI solutions.
• Work directly with customers to demonstrate the power of our solutions and support internal teams and HQ business units.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in evangelizing VMware’s strategy through product demos to executives and technical leaders in Japan.
• Expert technical support for VMware Private Cloud automation, AIOps management, and integration with management/provisioning systems like Terraform and Ansible.
• Lead Proof of Concept (PoC) exercises for VCF automation and Private AI products.
• Maintain knowledge of competitor products in Native Public Cloud, AIOps, and Automation tools.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Technical Marketing, and Engineering on VCF-Addons product development and continuous improvement.
• Facilitate pre-sales community discussions and knowledge dissemination about VMware Cloud Foundation and VCF-Addons.
• Publish blogs and best practice documents on VMware Cloud solutions architecture and deployment.
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise systems management, infrastructure architecture, and key business infrastructure design, implementation, and management.
• Proficiency with IT infrastructure automation and AIOps management solutions like Aria Automation and Operations, vCenter / vSphere, OpenShift, Docker, GitHub, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Pytorch, Tensorflow, Jupyter-notebook, and more.
• Ability to articulate complex solutions in a simplified, understandable manner.
• Experience and ability to present to enterprise, telco, and public sector customers in Japan.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• VCAP Data Center Virtualization and VCAP Cloud Management qualifications.
• CKA, CKAD, CKS certifications.
• Experience with programming languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, and Google Cloud.
• Native-level Japanese and business-level English (TOEIC 800).
