Job Description
ARHS Digital is in search of data engineers with Cloudera experience (CDP) to join the data transformation team for one of its clients.
As a Data Engineer, you will interact with both business and IT personnel (architects, functional analysts, project managers, data scientists, developers) and will contribute to the data transformation program. Within this program, we are remodeling our enterprise data platform and machine learning solutions, switching over to a CDP technology stack (Cloudera Data Platform). During this re-engineering and migration, you will design and develop solutions for real-time data ingestion, processing, and provision in a highly reliable environment. You will also be working on several generic frameworks (such as a framework for logging and access management).
Qualifications
Your profile
- You are an IT professional with at least five years’ experience
- Proven experience in big data engineering
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus
- Driven, self-directed and eager to achieve
- Ability to collaborate effectively with onsite and offshore teams
- Desire to learn new technologies
- Willing to share knowledge and document solutions meticulously
Technical skills – Experience with:
- Cloudera products (HDFS, Ozone, Hive, Impala, Spark, Oozie, Atlas, Ranger, …)
- Real-time technologies (Nifi, Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming, High Availability setup …)
- Specifically on Kafka:
- Designing and implementing broker and partition architecture
- Developing consumable topics and corresponding API/microservices to render data consumable.
- Configuring Producers and Consumers
- Proficiency in all key components in a Kafka ecosystem, like Zookeeper, YARN
- Integration with Flink and Nifi
- Stream processing knowledge Kafka with Flink
- Knowledge of a Kafka administration profile is a nice-to-have feature
- CI/CD (Git, Jenkins / Gitlab CI, Ansible, Nexus)
- Java and/or Python programming languages
- Experience with NoSQL databases (CouchBase, MongoDB, …) is a plus.
- PowerBI, Scala, Docker, and Kubernetes are advantageous
