Job Opportunity: Computer Science / Engineering Student in Geointelligence

We are currently seeking a motivated and talented Computer Science or Engineering Student for an 8-month term starting in September 2024 at our Halifax office. As a member of our experienced agile team, you will contribute to the design and development of software for a signal processing system that's part of the international Square Kilometre Array (SKA) radio telescope project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and test Python and C++ software
• Create and maintain tools for software development
• Participate in team design and review activities

Required Experience and Skills:

Candidates should be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computing Science or Engineering Science with at least three years completed. Key skills include:

• Python
• C++
• Linux
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-motivation in a team environment

Desirable Skills:

• Docker
• Kubernetes
• CI/CD pipelines, DevOps
• Testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, GoogleTest)
• Agile software development
• Software microservice architectures
• Signal processing
