Data Analyst – Operational Finance Performance

Contract Type: Temporal (6 months)

Our Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, generating reports, and providing insights to support process improvement and automation. This role requires experience working with financial data, proficiency in Power BI, and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Your Role

As a Data Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include:

Data Collection and Data Management:

  • Gather and organize financial data from various sources, including databases, financial reports, and operational systems.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy by performing regular data quality checks.

Reporting and Visualization:

  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards and reports (and automate when possible).
  • Create visualizations using Power BI to communicate complex data insights clearly.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports that summarize financial performance.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Your Skills and Experience

As a Data Analyst, your skills and qualifications should ideally include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) as a Data Analyst, preferably in a financial setting.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel and SQL.
  • Experience with Power BI for data visualization.
  • Familiarity with financial statements and accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Finance, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial software.
