Overview:
Join Ecolab's dynamic Digital Capabilities team within the Procurement Analytics and Digital Solutions group! As a Data Analyst Trainee, you'll be at the forefront of enhancing digital capabilities and advanced analytics, leading the development of innovative products that deliver key business insights. This role is pivotal in advancing chemical data understanding across the organization by improving processes, governance, and data management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison among stakeholders to analyze, document, and validate requirements for changes to business processes and reporting.
- Design, develop, and maintain pioneering data products and business intelligence dashboards.
- Leverage standardized reporting processes, testing, and operational practices.
- Direct the automation of processes and analyses to enhance efficiency.
- Provide training on systems, tools, and processes managed by the Analytics and Digital Solutions team.
- Collaborate with IT to enhance data pipeline specifications and implementations.
- Identify opportunities and make proactive recommendations to solve complex business issues through advanced BI reporting.
Basic Qualifications:
- Strong interest in roles focused on analytics or business intelligence.
- Proficiency in data visualization and the ability to present insightful data to key stakeholders.
- Exceptional analytical skills and a problem-solving aptitude.
- Good proficiency with MS Office and either existing skills in SQL and DAX or a willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in the design and maintenance of standard reports and dashboards.
- Documented history of managing and delivering projects.
- Skills to create, implement, document, and enhance processes in dynamic environments.
- Background in data science with familiarity in analysis techniques such as time series, forecasting, or regression analysis.
- Experience with data analytics tools like Python, R, and PowerBI preferred.
- Project management experience or involvement with global teams.
- Industry experience in petrochemicals is an advantage.
- Recent or current studies in Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
