Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient data pipelines and workflows
• Extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into data warehouses or analytical platforms
• Work together with cross-functional teams to collect requirements for data solutions
• Design and implement data models enabling effective data storage and retrieval
• Create and maintain data integration processes between multiple systems
• Ensure data infrastructure meets performance, reliability, and security standards
• Investigate data-related problems and offer timely solutions
• Cooperate with data analysts and data scientists to optimize data pipelines for analytics and insights

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Demonstrable experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
• Solid understanding of data modeling and ETL processes
• Proficient in SQL and scripting languages such as Python or R
• Experience with data warehousing solutions and cloud data platforms (for example, Snowflake, Redshift, Azure)
• Sound knowledge of data integration tools and technologies
• Familiarity with Big Data tools and frameworks (for example, Hadoop, Spark)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to function in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
