Key Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer at MileIQ, you will:

• Take ownership of core SQL and Python data pipelines powering our extensive data lake and warehouse.
• Engage in data modeling and construct optimized, reusable datasets.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance ETL pipelines that support our data visualizations.
• Create datasets focusing on data quality, privacy, and reusability across different business functions.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders including business, squad, and engineering leads.
• Support metric reporting and analytics operations leveraging new and existing data marts.

Who You Are

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 3 years of dedicated data engineering experience, with a proven track record in designing scalable data pipelines and frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark, and Spark.
• Experience with cloud data warehouse technologies like Snowflake, and familiarity with unstructured data, and distributed data platforms.
• A passion for data and a keen interest in advancing your skills in data modeling and dataset creation.
• An empathetic approach to problem-solving and collaboration with stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.
• Preferred knowledge in DBT, Customer Data Platforms like RudderStack or Segment, API integrations, CI/CD implementations, and machine learning principles.
