Data Engineer - Cloud/Gen AI at Vertiv

Job Summary: Join our innovative team at Vertiv as a Data Engineer specializing in Cloud and Generative AI technologies. In this role, you'll be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining sophisticated data pipelines and architectures. Located at our headquarters in Westerville, OH, you will play a key role in ensuring that our data systems are scalable, robust, and fully optimized to meet the needs of our diverse clientele.

Responsibilities:

• Develop scalable and robust data pipelines and architectures.
• Perform data extraction, cleansing, standardization, and transformation tasks.
• Maintain high data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across platforms.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to craft solutions that align with user expectations.
• Proactively troubleshoot and resolve any data issues or defects.
• Stay ahead of the curve by researching and implementing the latest data technologies and tools.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in data engineering, including proficiency with data pipeline development and ETL processes.
• Strong skills in data processing and storage solutions like Apache Spark/PySpark, Hadoop, and Amazon Redshift.
• Practical experience with Python, SQL, and a variety of data pipeline frameworks like Apache Airflow.
• Excellent communication, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of Generative AI and advanced data architectures like Data Mesh and Data Fabric.
• Understanding of data warehousing, architecture, and quality processes.
