The Role

As a Data Engineer, you'll be at the core of our Security Ratings product. Our highly scalable AWS-based data pipeline ingests security intelligence from over 100 sources, processing terabytes of data to deliver daily ratings for over 500,000 organizations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Build, collect, aggregate, and analyze data at scale using continuous, incremental development methodologies.
  • Collaborate with a close-knit team across multiple locations.
  • Architect and evolve the data pipeline to support larger volumes through cloud data warehouses.
  • Integrate new data sources and refine the rating algorithm to bring actionable security insights to customers.
  • Work with data science and research teams to ensure data quality and integrity.

Requirements

  • 3+ years working with modern Java (version 8 or higher).
  • Experience building and operating large-scale data pipelines.
  • Strong fundamentals in design, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience delivering a product to end-users with a team of engineers, designers, and product owners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Python.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Elasticsearch.
  • Experience with NoSQL data warehouses like AWS Redshift.
  • Experience with CI/CD and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in the IT security domain.
