The Analytics team at Nokia focuses on applying data science to unravel the complexities of big data, enhancing business insights and generating new potentials from multifaceted data sources. From traditional data gathering and business intelligence to advanced machine learning and automated data systems integration—our work lays the groundwork for data-driven and fact-based decision-making.

Subfamily Description: Analytics Data Architecture & Quality (ADA)

Our Analytics Data Architecture & Quality segment focuses on creating robust data models, maintaining high data integrity, and ensuring quality across all processes. We handle everything from data collection to analysis, ensuring compliance with privacy and security standards, and empowering our clients with reliable data governance tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based solutions.
  • Adhere to best practices in cloud security and data storage.
  • Proactively identify and resolve system vulnerabilities and deployment issues.
  • Regularly update systems to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with clients to tailor cloud support based on their needs.
  • Use data analytics to translate business needs into actionable data-driven recommendations.

Role Impact and Scope

The impact of this role is primarily departmental and project-focused. You'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of your work, impacting program and project outcomes through proactive problem-solving and innovative solutions.

Innovation and Communication

This position requires a proactive approach, with minimal supervision, and a readiness to adopt non-standard strategies for problem resolution. Communication skills will be key as you'll influence others and potentially negotiate on operational issues, sharing insights not only within teams but across functions.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the field, with at least 2-3 years in data engineering.
  • Advanced degrees in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a similar field.
  • Proven capability in building and managing cloud infrastructures with platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience in Postgres and MSSQL, with a preference for candidates who have command line interface experience.
  • Knowledge in Python, stream processing technologies, and workflow frameworks like Apache Airflow or Jenkins.
