What You Will Do:

As a Data Engineer at GoTo Group, you will be pivotal in:

• Gathering business requirements to enhance BI projects.
• Exploring and integrating both existing and new data sources into our Data Warehouse.
• Designing and developing a comprehensive Data Quality Framework across our Data Platform.
• Implementing Data Model structures for an enterprise data warehouse while adhering to data governance policies.
• Classifying data based on our Data Governance policy and Data Access Framework.
• Developing data definitions and metrics, ensuring consistency across the Data team.
• Modifying existing data integration solutions to meet rapidly evolving business requirements.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve data quality and operational issues.
• Creating conceptual models and data flow diagrams to streamline processes.
• Gathering user requirements and offering consultation on data integration solutions.
• Adhering to project delivery deadlines and migrating code across different environments using source code management systems.
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for data pipelines and services.

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in data engineering, software engineering, or in a similar technical role.
• Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Solid expertise in SQL, database management systems, and data modeling concepts.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
• Practical experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Capability to design and implement scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
• Deep understanding of data engineering concepts, programming languages, and big data technology.
