Key Responsibilities
- Developing and mentoring a team of skilled Data Engineers, ensuring their professional and personal growth.
- Participating in the Tribe's Leadership Team alongside other Chapter Leads and Product Owners, fostering a collaborative and empowering environment.
- Defining best data engineering practices in cooperation with the Chapter Area Lead and Data Engineering Guild.
- Designing, building, and maintaining ETL processes and infrastructure for data processing, analysis, and integration.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement system improvements and new features.
- Acting as a subject matter expert for Data Engineering, providing consultancy on complex solutions.
About You
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Data Engineer with a comprehensive understanding of ETL processes, relational databases, and data modeling.
- Leadership experience within an engineering context or a strong desire to lead and develop a team of engineers.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experienced with ETL tools like SSIS, IBM Data Stage, Informatica, Alteryx, and AWS Glue for developing data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with managing infrastructure on on-prem and public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical employees clearly.
- Advanced English skills, both oral and written.
