Leidos Health & Civil Sector is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Data Governance Lead to join our team. About the Position

The Data Governance Lead is responsible for defining and operating data governance policies across multiple data domains. You will collaborate with business, technology, and other cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, challenges, and pain points. Your key responsibilities include driving data management and maturity assessments, defining data strategies, and developing an operating model across people, processes, technology, and governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain applicable portions of ATO packages and documentation within eMASS regarding data governance.
  • Collaborate with SCA and ISSM to verify control implementation and support ATO testing and continuous monitoring of security controls.
  • Respond to security incidents and support CSSP in resolving incidents including unauthorized disclosure, spillage, or unauthorized access of privacy information.
  • Monitor and support implementation of access controls with the cloud team.
  • Ensure data governance and privacy cybersecurity controls are implemented and maintained by working with SCRUM Master and developers.
  • Stay updated on new trends in data protection, government regulations, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Participate as a voting member/tech advisor in configuration management and other governance boards.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related information technology field with 2-5 years of database administration, management, and tuning experience.
  • 2 years of experience with Oracle, MS SQL or other relational databases in a cloud environment.
  • Strong understanding of data governance controls, regulations, and techniques to protect PII and PMI.
  • Solid understanding of data and schema standards and concepts, database design, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and/or maintain an Active Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CISSP, ICCP Certified Data Governance Professional, Certified Data Professional (CDP).
  • Previous experience supporting DoD system authorizations.
