Role Overview: Data Product Owner

As a Data Product Owner, you will play a key role in leveraging expertise in enterprise data, business intelligence, and industry practices to develop strategic data products that support business outcomes across North America (NA) Claims. Your efforts will enhance Chubb’s digital transformation goals by driving execution excellence and fostering a data-driven culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the NA Claims data product landscape, develop short and long-term roadmaps with high business impact.
  • Create quarterly objectives, key results, and action plans to deliver incremental value from each NA Claims data team.
  • Collaborate with NA Claims leadership and stakeholders to implement data-driven solutions and reporting assets.
  • Build self-service metrics and dashboards for Chubb leaders to measure KPIs, ensuring scalability across segments.
  • Promote an agile working environment and establish consistent, accurate data sources supported by scalable infrastructure.
  • Set shared goals with cross-functional stakeholders, providing business-focused solutions and guidance.
  • Represent business priorities in technical team engagements, ensuring alignment and connectivity across teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement and transformational change within the data and analytics environment of NA Claims.
  • Collaborate with analytics and engineering organizations to scale advanced NA Claims intelligence functions.
  • Draw insights from large data sets to identify patterns and interpret trends across multiple domains.

What You Bring

Foundational Skills:

  • Analytical mindset with expertise in data-powered business solutions design and implementation.
  • Experience managing work and decisions across the data lifecycle, supporting business analysis.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with multidisciplinary analytics practitioners and stakeholders.
  • Experience in technical discussions with data engineering partners and explaining concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to align business intelligence strategy with IT infrastructure and business objectives.
  • Capability to measure business processes and identify value drivers and KPIs.
  • Experience using data to solve problems and drive operational improvements.
  • Intellectual curiosity and passion for data-driven strategic insights.
  • Skills in communicating data-backed results to organizational leaders.
  • Strong knowledge of agile software development lifecycle in the insurance technology industry.

Preferred Experience:

  • 5-7 years in data analytics and/or business intelligence product management.
  • Experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance with a track record of delivering quantifiable business impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams.
  • Proficient in data and visualization tools such as Tableau, Excel, QlikSense, MS PowerBI.
  • Understanding and utilizing various data source systems (databases, files, APIs, SaaS, etc.).
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Statistics, Data Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this role is $102,000 to $168,000, depending on skills and other factors. This role may be eligible for an annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, details of which can be found on our careers website. Geographic differential adjustments may apply.
