Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the valuation basis for new product launches (commercial lines) and build on the profitability of personal lines.
- Review previously set valuation bases, setting new assumptions to calculate technical provisions for financial reporting on a monthly and annual basis, and implement reserve monitoring.
- Accountable for capital requirements on a quarterly and annual basis as required by the Prudential Authority, and submit for regulatory purposes.
- Project capital requirements to ensure annual capital planning for the entity.
- Accountable for insurance group-wide capital requirements, in line with regulatory standards, with semi-annual returns.
- Project the actuarial sections of the financial budgets and re-forecasting on a monthly basis based on actuals and future assumptions.
- Support and engage stakeholders across product, pricing, and actuarial teams on actuarial matters.
- Perform statutory capital calculations, reserving, and reporting to senior management.
- Reserving for all major lines of business.
- Meet IFRS 17 operational requirements.
- Enhance and develop new processes.
- Manage relevant projects efficiently.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experienced in technical modeling and coding, with proficiency in SAS, SQL, ResQ, or other actuarial reserving software.
- Experience in reserving and IFRS 17.
- Hold a degree in Actuarial Science.
- A minimum of 6+ years of experience in corporate actuarial roles.
