The Analytics function within the Data & Analytics Centre of Excellence at AIB is seeking a talented Data Scientist for our advanced analytics team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cutting-edge machine learning solutions that add tangible business value.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to unveil trends and insights.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements.
  • Handle data processes end-to-end: extraction, pre-processing, and analysis with Teradata.
  • Develop and refine predictive models using Python and SAS Viya.
  • Ensure software quality and maintain version control with Git.
  • Oversee the performance and update deployed models.
  • Adapt and thrive in an Agile work environment, managing tasks through Jira.
  • Communicate analytical insights effectively to stakeholders with varied technical understanding.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in machine learning.
  • Proficient in Python; familiarity with SAS Viya is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of statistical methods and various machine learning algorithms.
  • Experience using Teradata for comprehensive data handling.
  • Competence in Git for version control.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Jira.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
