What You’ll Do as a Data Scientist at CACI

As part of our team, you will:

• Analyze and annotate natural language data using guidelines and tools.
• Perform qualitative error trend analysis to enhance NLP models.
• Collect, organize, and manage data according to project-specific criteria.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with ML Data Linguists and Artificial Intelligence teams to refine data processing techniques.
• Drive improvements by providing actionable feedback on tools and processes.
• Lead data analytical and linguistics research projects to optimize customer interactions with virtual assistants.

Qualifications for the Data Scientist Role

To be eligible for this role, you must have:

• An active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on Linguistics.
• At least 10 years of experience in delivering software solutions using NLP, machine translation, or similar disciplines.
• Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Java, C#, C++, PERL, or Python.
• A solid understanding of the structural aspects of languages including morphology, syntax, semantics, phonology, and phonetics.
• Strong interpersonal skills and precise attention to detail.

Preferred Additional Qualifications

• Previous experience in a DoD contracting environment.
• Experience developing high-quality briefings for senior leadership.
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux operating systems.
• Experience in government-funded projects or client interfacing roles.

Pay Range: $119,800 - $263,600, dependent on multiple factors including location and previous experience.
