Job Description: Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at Arcfield, you will enhance the capabilities of a critical Sponsor’s organization by utilizing industry-best practices in data management. Your role involves innovating and optimizing processes for handling comprehensive data sets from diverse sources effectively and securely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply your technical expertise across a variety of data applications, tools, and services.
  • Evaluate and endorse optimal data management tools and products based on user and system requirements.
  • Enhance and potentially redefine existing ETL processes.
  • Design file organizations, indexing methods, and outline security procedures tailored to specific user applications.
  • Coordinate and plan robust data security measures, ensure data integrity, implement backup systems, and uphold database security.

Essential Qualifications

  • Current and maintainable TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related scientific or technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Profound analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Experience in designing technology to meet user needs and transforming product requirements into system solutions.
  • Expertise in Java, Python, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and AWS tool suites.

Desired Skills

  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively articulate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Adaptability in dynamic and challenging environments.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with experience in Apache NiFi, Machine Learning, and Interactive Data Language (IDL).
