Job Description
The Integrated Solutions / Analytics team at Merkle is a fast-growing team of experts who apply rigorous modern analytics to help our clients assess and solve various challenges. We blend our deep analytical heritage with platform knowledge, cross channel expertise, and business acumen, along with the latest technologies to enhance performance.
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist with a background in developing Generative AI solutions to join our dynamic team. This opportunity provides the chance to shape the future of AI and spearhead innovative solutions across different domains.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement the most recent generative models using deep learning techniques to enhance customer experiences and drive marketing effectiveness.
- Work closely with various teams, including marketing professionals, data engineers, and product managers, to understand business objectives and determine project requirements.
- Perform exploratory data analysis and preprocessing to guarantee the best quality input data for training generative models.
- Train, fine-tune, and validate generative models on various datasets representing customer preferences and behaviors.
- Optimize and improve existing models to enhance performance, scalability, and efficiency.
- Evaluate and benchmark generative models against KPI's, comparing them to industry best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in generative AI and propose solutions that enhance customer engagement and improve marketing strategies.
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field required; advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, focusing on building Generative AI solutions.
- Clear understanding of deep learning architectures, both theoretical and practical.
- Proficiency in machine learning frameworks (such as TensorFlow, PyTorch) and libraries (like Keras, scikit-learn).
- 5 to 7+ years of Python programming skills, with experience in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
- Mathematical and statistical background, with expertise in probability theory and optimization techniques.
- Experience with large-scale datasets and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark) is desirable.
- Comfortable and experienced with working in a matrix organizational structure in roles with a high degree of latitude.
- Publications or contributions to the field of Generative AI preferred.

Additional Information
The salary range for this position is $136,000-$219,650, reflecting factors such as relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geographical considerations.
