What does this internship entail? In partnership with Camilo José Cela University, Airbus has crafted an exclusive program (DISCOVER) meant for those interested in acquiring the best training in new knowledge areas crucial for becoming future professionals. You will have the opportunity to pursue a Master's degree, structured in three training segments, which will enable you to DISCOVER the currently in-demand skills. This will be coupled with an 11-month internship at Airbus in a field related to your degree, where you can enhance and supplement your academic background. The start of the internship will be in early March 2024, lasting for 11 months (August excluded for all intents and purposes). This is a full-time opportunity (40h/week), where you will receive an attractive study grant. Internship Job description: Stress Analysis Methods & Tools Engineer A thrilling opportunity is now available as a stress M&T engineer in the Structural Analysis Methods & Tools team at Airbus, part of a fully transnational department. The Structural Analysis Methods & Tools consists of highly seasoned Airframe and M&T engineers in Stress, Design, IT, and Data Science/AI. This team is recognized for its transversal M&T Airframe engineering activities owing to the fusion of diverse skillsets and high expertise. Your tasks and responsibilities: Within the department, you will be incorporated into a fully transnational team responsible for Stress Methods & Tools for Airbus structures. You will develop new stress methods incorporating artificial intelligence, such as stress method surrogate models, internal load surrogates, data science solutions for stress solutions, and coding mainstream capabilities. You will get acquainted with the latest standards and observe a broad range of components learning how to size and calculate, culminating in technical documentation and presentations. A valuable experience is assured. Desired skills and qualifications: - Recently graduated/Master's students in Aerospace Engineering - Knowledge of structural stress analysis of metallic/composite - Analytical and problem-solving skills - Programming languages (Python; desirable C++) - Data Science knowledge, TensorFlow, SciKit-Learn at a basic level - English and Spanish proficiency - Interest/Knowledge in Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics... - Collaborative and team-oriented approach - Ability to operate in complex and international settings.
