What We Do

We provide end-to-end support for developing software solutions, including:

• Business need analysis, and design of functional and non-functional requirements
• System analysis, business transformation support, and IT/business consultancy
• User interface and experience design for mobile and desktop applications
• Front and back-end development using technologies such as Java, .Net, Ruby, GoLang, Oracle, and Python
• Data Warehouse solutions from architecture, design, and implementation primarily with Vertica, Oracle, and Microsoft platforms

DWH Engineer Role

Avalanche Labs is looking for DWH Engineers to join our growing team. As a DWH Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain data warehouses and enterprise data management systems. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and data analysts to convert business requirements into technical solutions meeting performance, scalability, and security standards. You will focus primarily on banking sector projects but also have opportunities across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain DWH and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) solutions
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and data analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Create and maintain data models and database schemas supporting business processes and analytics
• Develop data integration and API solutions
• Build automated testing and validation frameworks to ensure data quality and accuracy
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues
• Document technical designs, processes, and procedures

Required Skills and Experience

• 3+ years of experience in DWH or ETL development
• Hands-on experience with platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, or Hadoop
• Expertise in SQL and PL/SQL programming languages
• Experience with ETL tools like Informatica, DataStage, or SSIS
• Familiarity with API development and integration technologies such as REST, SOAP, and JSON
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Specific Skills and Tools

• Proficiency in Teradata DWH database
• Experience with Oracle Data Integration (ODI) for ETL tasks
• Familiarity with Erwin for data modeling and SQL for data analysis
• Experience using collaboration tools such as Confluence, JIRA, and Git
• Knowledge of tools including Teradata SQL Assistant, Oracle Database, EDW-Board, Jenkins, Tivoli Scheduler, Visual Studio, Bit Bucket, and Procreg
