At Applied Materials, we are seeking a dedicated Senior Associate to enhance our FES Team in Bangalore. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about leveraging cloud technologies to engineer innovative software and data platforms, contributing to projects that impact global operations.

Role Overview

As a Senior FAIR Data Engineer, you'll be instrumental in developing solutions using AWS/Azure, focusing on creating robust data pipelines and processing large data volumes. Expertise in Python, Java, and Big Data technologies like PySpark/Spark, Hadoop, Hive, and Kafka is crucial. You will build and maintain high-quality, scalable and resilient distributed systems and perform data ingestion and schema management as per the latest industry standards.

What You Will Do

• Develop cutting-edge applications and data solutions in the cloud.
• Engineer and manage data processes at scale.
• Identify dependencies and clear blockers for product releases.
• Engage in Agile practices and CI/CD methodologies for seamless project execution.
• Utilize your analytical skills to work with complex data sets and generate insightful conclusions.
• Communicate effectively to influence team members and stakeholders.
• Mentor and manage junior team members, providing guidance and Supervision.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Educational Qualifications

A degree in a relevant field is required. Additional certifications related to cloud technology, data management, or software development will be preferable.
