Meta is on the lookout for a pioneering Research Scientist to be a part of our dynamic Multimodal Understanding and Generation Research Team. Role Overview: Fundamental Research Scientist - Generative AI Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• PhD in areas such as computer vision, machine learning, NLP, or applied statistics.
• Proven background in software development and running complex experiments in large AI models and datasets.
• Robust experience in academic or industrial AI research settings, with a focus on leadership.
• Eligibility to work in the hiring country at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in generative AI, computer vision, and multimodal research.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in academic, industry, or governmental labs.
• Authorship of peer-reviewed papers at prominent AI conferences (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, EMNLP, ACL).
• Proficiency in Python and experience in leading original research in a team setting.
