GBS Material Master Data Analyst: Your Responsibilities

As a GBS Material Master Data Analyst, you will:

  • Manage and prioritize GBS MDM Service Now, EFLOW, and Syndigo requests, ensuring they are handled within agreed SLAs.
  • Provide timely, complete, and professional responses to customer inquiries.
  • Collaborate with ERP system internal customers to understand and address daily production/logistics issues, update master data changes, and coordinate master data uploads.
  • Work closely with the MDM team to resolve processing/reporting and field conflict issues.
  • Execute item master data transactions, including creating, amending, and extending materials, source lists, purchase info records, and manufacturing elements.
  • Develop training materials and documentation, implementing training sessions as necessary.
  • Participate in data harmonization activities and MDM process-improvement workshops.
  • Maintain the MDM Standard Operating Procedures and Data Dictionary, identifying and addressing gaps in policies with the Data Quality Organization.
  • Implement and document global MDM processes, ensuring material master data quality and compliance with auditing standards.
  • Provide training and education to local Data Stewards and ensure audit trails/change control for data integrity.
  • Participate in the Annual Product Review process for MDM activities and serve as a domain expert in Master Data projects.
  • Develop and execute Winshuttle scripts.
  • Utilize Master Data management tools/apps such as IDQ, Embarcadero, Winshuttle, EFLOW, Appian, Service Now, Syndigo, and Alation.

Skills and Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a data management role.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in data management and/or governance.
  • Experience in material master data (raw materials, semi-finished, finished goods) management.
  • Proficiency in SAP/MS Dynamics Axapta system, including mass data uploads.
  • Strong knowledge of data management principles and standard processes.
  • Familiarity with core data/analysis tools like Informatica, Winshuttle, MS Excel, Business Objects, SAP SQVI, and Power BI.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building strong relationships with remote teams and senior leadership.
  • Recognized expertise in data management and data quality.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to work across multiple source systems, including various SAP versions, Axapta, Eflow, Matrix, and Movex.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
