Job Purpose and Impact

The Generative AI Platform and Infrastructure Engineer will establish and maintain the foundation for Cargill's modern business applications. In this role, you will utilize your understanding of modern infrastructure and cloud software engineering practices to build, secure, and sustain the core capabilities that enhance business value for our data and application teams.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop and maintain Generative AI platforms, systems, and infrastructure using general knowledge of software development and infrastructure as code practices.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, support, and enhance moderately complex automated infrastructure and platform components.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, product managers, Generative AI engineers, and internal customers to identify development opportunities for our generative AI platform.
• Independently address moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, and escalate more complex issues to the appropriate staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years of related work experience.
• Experience building Generative AI or Machine Learning platform systems for applications in the ML or Foundation Model development lifecycle, including model training, data preparation, model evaluation, and model serving.
• Other minimum qualifications may apply.
