Job Purpose and Scope

The Global Supply Chain strategy development and deployment team at Tennant focuses on building an agile global Center of Excellence. This team leads strategic planning, roadmap development and deployment, global standards, and operational model governance aligning with our overall business and company goals. The primary objective of the Global Supply Chain COE is to drive key strategic priorities and initiatives, striving for operational excellence, cost savings, improved customer satisfaction, and maintaining a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Responsibilities

The Global Supply Chain Data Scientist will be part of the COE, evaluating the performance of our end-to-end value chain and solving complex supply chain constraints. Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze data to enhance supply chain efficiency and address dynamic organizational challenges
  • Conduct data analysis for improving supply chain operations effectively and efficiently
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify supply chain constraints proactively
  • Interpret data to craft robust solutions for the organization’s most complex problems
  • Conduct process improvement cost-benefit analysis
  • Create processes to gather supply chain data across multiple sources
  • Provide risk mitigation solutions through data analysis
  • Communicate risk mitigation plans and improvement ideas to executive stakeholders
  • Ensure supply chain decisions are driven by quantifiable insights

Required Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or MIS
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in analytics using data analysis tools
  • Certification in data analytics systems or methodologies (e.g., Power BI, BW) is a plus
  • Experience in problem statement development, cost-benefit analysis, and value statements
  • Experience with business intelligence or other data mining tools is a plus
