Job Description
Compliance: You will manage the statutory compliance for entities in all jurisdictions which involves the following key areas:
In accordance with IFRS - You will prepare the Effective tax rate and annual calculations both current tax and deferred tax for all global entities on a quarterly/annual basis.
In accordance with Local GAAP - You will prepare tax calculations both current tax and Deferred Tax as per Local GAAP relevant to each jurisdiction aiming for statutory financials.
You will collaborate with the Finance function and external consultants to ensure timely completion and submission of tax returns and other compliance requirements. You will be responsible for:
Preparing tax disclosures on a quarterly and annual basis.
Estimating tax computations for the purpose of paying advance taxes.
Ensuring adequate defense documentation is available to justify the tax return's positions, managing tax audits, and developing strategies for closing audits in the best interest of the Company.
Tax Planning: You will implement tax planning projects and be a significant contributor in regional/global projects. You will participate in due diligence for M&A initiatives when new regulations are introduced in any jurisdiction where WNS is present that have a tax impact. You will contribute to develop and ensure tax considerations are adequately included in business plans.
Transfer Pricing: You must guarantee all relevant transactions conform to the Global Transfer Pricing Policy, and local documentation is in place for all jurisdictions.
Specifications: It is necessary to have a robust knowledge of the tax law and practice, and recent tax developments. An appreciation and thorough understanding of IAS 12 and international tax principles is required.
You must possess regional plus global/international tax knowledge. You will ensure that tax positions/decisions taken for the sub-region are consistent with our global tax strategy and company policies and would not create any undue tax/business risks outside the country/region.
A proven experience in public accounting and industry is a must.
You must hold a tertiary qualification, professional certification such as CA / CPA is preferred.
Knowledge of IFRS will be considered an advantage.
You should possess strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
A positive attitude towards work and good teamwork are necessary.
Ability to remain calm under pressure, prioritize, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
