Job Overview
Position: Full-time/Permanent (I04 Data Engineer Hybrid)
Salary Range: $138,000 - $179,000 (dependent on experience and factors outlined)
Location: Hybrid (Columbia, MD; Sterling, VA; or San Antonio, TX).
We require a talented individual with a background in cyber or network-related missions within military spaces, working as a developer, analyst, or engineer.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will handle big data systems, both structured and unstructured datasets, and undertake government data acquisition, analysis, and sharing. You will need to demonstrate superb attention to detail, grasp complex technical issues, and show a readiness to learn and adapt. Working both independently and collaboratively is key to achieving client objectives.
Key Qualifications
- Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience (+4 years).
- Minimum 9 years relevant experience in roles such as Java programming, with skills in unit and integration testing.
- Experience with data extraction and translation, including prep and labeling for data analytics.
- Familiarity with data formats like JSON and XML.
- Proficiency in data flow, management, and storage solutions (e.g., Kafka, NiFi, AWS S3, SQS).
- Problem-solving skills, particularly in decomposing technical issues and troubleshooting dataflow problems.
- DoD IAT II certification or higher.
- Willingness to partake in a programming challenge during the interview process.
- Experience with virtual team platforms (Zoom, Teams, Meet).
Preferred Additional Qualifications
- Python programming experience.
- Knowledge of NOSQL databases, e.g., Accumulo.
- Experience in Kubernetes environment development.
- Background in supporting cyber/network security operations within a comprehensive enterprise environment.
- Agile Project Team familiarity and task management proficiency.
- Strong communication skills.
