What You'll Do

Role Summary

The AI Workbench team is in search of a highly motivated individual to enhance the capabilities of our cloud-based AI platform. This platform supports stakeholders in managing both classical Machine Learning (ML) and Generative AI workloads efficiently at scale.

Our broader AI organization aims to integrate ML and Generative AI features into every enterprise application. Our team contributes by building foundational services driven by common requirements for both internal and external customers and partners.

The Role

As a (Junior) Cloud Back-End Engineer, you will tackle various tasks involving the extension, improvement, and development of our AI Platform's technical stack. We're looking for someone eager to explore new areas and drive them to completion, initially with the guidance of a mentor. This role offers a unique opportunity to familiarize yourself with cutting-edge and emerging technologies such as Kubernetes, Argo, Machine Learning, and Generative AI while being part of a supportive, collaborative team. We expect each developer to take end-to-end ownership of our services, including contributing to Site Reliability Engineering processes.

What You Bring

• A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• Strong foundational knowledge in computer science, with competencies in algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or C++
• Experience with backend software stack technologies like database systems, Docker or Kubernetes, REST APIs, and networking
• Experience with cloud-based application development, e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP
• Proficiency with version control tools such as Git/GitHub
• Excellent communication skills in English, a proactive mindset, and at least one previous industry placement (e.g., an internship)
