What you'll do
- You will work on developing data pipelines to collect data from various sources, including APIs and internal and external databases
- You will monitor and maintain existing pipelines and search for opportunities to optimize them.
- You will work closely with the other Tech teams, our Analytics Engineering team, and BI teams.
- You will assist with data transformation tasks, including data cleansing, enrichment, and aggregation, to ensure data quality and consistency.
- You will participate in data quality initiatives by conducting data validation, error handling, and resolving data issues.
- You will actively pursue learning and skill development, looking for opportunities to expand your understanding of data engineering tools, techniques, and best practices.
- You will ensure data security and adhere to data privacy regulations by following established data handling and security protocols.
- You will maintain effective communication with team members and stakeholders, seeking help when needed and sharing progress updates.
- You will contribute ideas and suggestions for improving data processes and workflows within the team.
Who we are looking for
- You understand the concepts of Data Engineering and you have some experience in a Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering position.
- You have experience with cloud services, ideally AWS (knowledge in Redshift, S3, EC2, Glue, etc. would be a plus).
- You have worked with tools for ETL processes and process orchestration (preferable Matillion, dbt, Airflow)
- You have worked with message-based integration technologies (like SQS/ SNS).
- You have prior knowledge of implementing Infrastructure as Code using Pulumi or Terraform.
- You have initial experience in delivering solutions from design to production using Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and can break down design into meaningful tasks.
- You possess good documentation, communication, and presentation skills.
- You have a solid understanding of Data governance practices (GDPR, Ataccama or other RDM tools, …).
- You are familiar with SQL and Python, and preferably other languages.
