Job Description

The role sits within the MI and Analytics team in the Enterprise Division and is responsible for unlocking further value from our data sources to propel our business goals. Our remit includes areas such as Sales, Product, Operations, and Risk, and will involve building relationships with stakeholders.

A major part of this role will be to enhance our advanced analytics capability as we concentrate more on the data science field.

  • Employ data mining and statistical analysis to generate predictive analytics.
  • Extract insights from our Azure data lake using programming languages (like Python or R).
  • Collaborate with other Data Science colleagues within our Data Community to help advance our team's analytics capabilities.
  • Create transparency in our work processes by maintaining a clear work pipeline, defined timelines, and ownership of deliverables.

Qualifications

  • An interest in data, analytics, or statistics
  • An understanding of machine learning techniques
  • Applied statistics skills, such as distributions, regressions, etc.
  • A problem-solving mindset, with the ability to troubleshoot and investigate issues
  • Experience with data science programming and tools such as Python, R, Matlab, etc.
  • An interest in finance and banking
  • Comfortable in a flexible working environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • A pro-active learner
