Introduction to the Role

Are you a seasoned professional in IT network infrastructure automation? AstraZeneca is looking for a Network Automation Lead Consultant who can craft and implement automation solutions that align with our business goals. As the lead consultant, you will manage the entire product lifecycle—from evaluation and design to optimization and retirement. This position will also focus on developing and delivering automation platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and network reliability functions.

Key Responsibilities

The role demands the creation of detailed solution designs and documentation to support global enterprise-class network operations. You'll work closely with different departments and service providers to foster a positive work environment that promotes consistency and enhances efficiency.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Expertise in programming languages like Ansible or Python, with a willingness to adopt new languages.
• Experience with AI-Ops frameworks and tools like Itential or NetBrain.
• Strong understanding of system protocols, data traffic flows, and system operations.
• Ability to develop a full software stack independently, understanding its building blocks, dependencies, and required tools.
• Intuitive user interaction and usability design skills to ensure a seamless end-user experience.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with subject matter experts and extracting critical business concepts.
• Capability to work and lead in an Agile environment.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience in task sequencing, scheduling, and project planning.
• Proficiency in conducting rigorous network tests and generating detailed reports on performance, security, scale, and resiliency.
