Job Description The Lead Data Engineer plays a crucial role in our company. You will serve as the technical expert responsible for designing and implementing high-value and timely Data Engineering solutions for our clients. Your job will involve verifying requirements, defining architecture, developing an implementation plan, and providing thought leadership for all engineering solutions. You'll design solutions that meet and exceed client expectations, establish a robust code framework with the flexibility to adapt to various business use cases. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience - Extensive experience with Cloud solutions - 3+ years of experience working with Python - Strong SQL skills and a good understanding of relational databases and data warehouses - Experience in building scalable data processing pipelines using Spark\PySpark is a plus - Ability to work independently and mentor other Data Engineering team members - Must have experience in managing projects end-to-end - Desire to lead and develop a team of Data Engineers across various levels - Ability to clarify and transform customer requirements into functional design documents - Participate in and facilitate interviews for future Data Engineering teammates - Experience with client engagement - Experience handling large data sets and big data technologies (Hadoop) is a plus - Knowledge of container orchestration technology - Docker/Kubernetes is beneficial - Excellent understanding of enterprise coding best practices and general Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery practices - Understanding and appreciation of the AGILE methodology - Proven Git practices experience, especially with repositories with many contributors Additional Information The starting salary range for this role is $90k - $135k, dependent on several factors including skill set, experience, certifications, training, and location. It's uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range. Compensation determining factors are considered for each individual circumstance.
