Redhorse Corporation is assembling a multi-disciplinary team to assist the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) Directorate of Logistics (CCJ4) in accelerating the deployment of AI-enhanced capabilities and syncing AI activities to extend customer benefits. This mission aids the Joint Logistics Enterprise in supporting USCENTCOM activities to foster collaboration among nations, respond swiftly to crisis, deter and counter trans-regional aggression, while bolstering the development of robust logistics and engineering capabilities of our partner organisations. The existing Joint Logistics Common Operating Picture (JLOGCOP) consists of dozens of data inputs, both automatic and manual, from across the Department of Defence (DoD). The aim of this initiative is to integrate artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) capabilities into the JLOGCOP to utilize the data better, improve decision-making, and quicken the planning process. Redhorse Corporation is currently seeking a Data Scientist to join our team. The work location for this job is at MacDill AFB, near Tampa, FL, with a possibility of up to 10% travel. Primary Duties and Responsibilities for this position include: -Regular communication with client regarding enterprise values and project direction. -Finding the intersection between business value and achievable technical work. -Translating and articulating business queries into technical solutions using available DoD data. -Exploring datasets to identify meaningful entities and relationships. -Creating data ingestion and cleaning pipelines. -Developing applications and effective visualizations to communicate insights. -Serving as an ambassador to executive DoD leadership to foster data literacy growth across the enterprise. Minimum Basic Requirements for Skills, Experience, and Credentials include: -US citizenship with a Secret US government clearance. Applicants who are not US citizens and without an active Secret security clearance will not be considered for this role. -Ability to work independently to recommend solutions to the client and as part of a team to accomplish tasks. -Experience with functional programming (Python, R, Scala) and database languages (SQL). -Ability to discern which statistical approaches are appropriate for different contexts. -Experience communicating key findings with visualizations. -8+ years of professional experience. -Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, etc.). Preferred Qualifications: -Experience with cloud-based development platforms. -Experience with large-scale data processing tools. -Experience with data visualization tools. -Prior DoD Operational Experience.
