Lead Machine Learning Engineer (MLOps)

What we’re looking for: We are seeking an experienced data engineer excited about building scalable data solutions and inspiring others to learn more. You'll be part of the data leadership team and work in close collaboration with our analytics, data science, and governance teams to implement data solutions that generate business value. As a Lead Machine Learning Engineer, you’ll be: - Creating and maintaining ML pipelines to operationalise ML models. - Developing and deploying low latency, highly scalable dockerized microservices. - Collaborating in cross-functional software/architecture design sessions to find the best solutions for our challenges. - Working with peer ML engineers responsible for scaling and deploying machine learning models for Tide. - Part of an agile development team that delivers value iteratively. - Building an ML platform to accelerate the development and deployment cycle and monitor models in production. What makes you a great fit: - At least 7+ years of development experience. - Experience leading a team of backend developers and/or ML engineers, coaching best practices, and architecting solutions. - Extensive development experience with Python, including microservices development using Flask, Django etc. - Experience with building data solutions, both batch processes and streaming applications. - Familiarity with event-driven designs, having worked with Kafka, Pulsar, RabbitMQ etc. - Experience working in an agile team, dedicated to providing value in an iterative way. - Experience with feature store, ML Observability and automated MLOps systems. - Experience in batch processing frameworks. - High development standards, especially concerning code quality, code reviews, unit testing, continuous integration and deployment. - Previous experience working with machine learning models and understanding of the challenges associated with putting these into production. - Business-level English and good communication skills. - Experience with Git and Docker. - Experience working with ML platforms is a plus.
