What is Zenith Data Governance?

The Data Governance team collaborates with Analytics, Engineering, and Technology Activation teams to design and enforce processes and protocols for effective data management. This ensures quality, consistency, and availability of data, enhancing our ability to produce efficient marketing performance reports for clients. By understanding key decision points, we apply, document, and execute the correct business logic, optimizing campaigns and bridging clients closer to their marketing goals.

What Makes a Successful Manager?

Our ideal Manager is passionate about emerging tech and media, adopting a data-driven approach to decision-making. They possess problem-solving skills, offer fresh perspectives, welcome challenges, and have an innate curiosity for continued learning. Experience in media analytics, especially digital media, is essential, as Managers often represent their Data Governance & Analytics teams to clients. A knack for translating data insights into compelling stories and previous experience managing junior staff are critical. Candidates should have at least four years of professional experience and one year in a managerial role.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities of a Data Governance Manager:

Managers collaborate closely with analysts to ensure timely delivery on tasks. They contribute intellectual capital by designing and implementing standardized data management processes. Acting as Business Analysts, they translate client requirements into clear documentation to facilitate data processing automation. Managers also align with Associate Directors to execute the department's vision, serving as mentors, project managers, and thought leaders.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of work experience in media or related fields
  • 1+ years in a managerial or supervisory role
  • Bachelor’s degree (related fields such as STEM, Economics, Marketing are a plus)
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas to clients and internal teams
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience querying relational databases
  • Proficiency with digital media and analytics tools
  • Extensive experience with digital media marketing metrics
  • Advanced Excel skills (macros, advanced formulas, pivot tables)
  • Ability to work with large data sets and answer business questions
  • Understanding of various online advertising media channels
  • Excellent customer service skills
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with third-party research partners like GfK, Nielsen, and comScore
  • Proficiency with ad verification tools such as IAS, Moat
  • Experience with DMPs and DSPs
  • Knowledge of visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, and other data manipulation languages
