Job Description
The Manager, Data Operations and Reporting will collaborate with cross-functional teams worldwide and external partners to deliver investment and competitive reporting and support global media operation functions.
This role requires robust knowledge of media, and the ability to apply business and media understanding to reporting and operational deliverables. They will work closely with the Director to establish project deliverables and be able to assist a geographically dispersed team to align on a clear understanding of the deliverables, which revolve around media (online & offline) data, and drive them to successful completion.
This role also involves analyzing data and understanding media trends & implications, and having a proactive and inquisitive mindset with the analyzed data & trends, asking the question: "why?"
What You’ll Do:
- Supervise and engage directly in the collection, classification/mapping, aggregation, QA, and reporting of Investment and competitive media data across 70+ markets.
- Manage a geographically dispersed team for data governance and compliance.
- Collaborate with Data Analytics team to improve reporting dashboards.
- Work directly with large datasets, ensuring accuracy in the data due to strong attention to detail.
- Identify, assess, and implement strategic operational capabilities with the ability to detect and translate a story behind numbers/data.
- Use data collection to develop media insights from market media data and industry trends.
- Work with multiple teams across the world to understand the media landscape and specific data context.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in media operations, media data analysis, and/or project management, preferably in a media or advertising agency.
- Strong understanding and experience with media channels, especially digital (e.g., understanding Programmatic, OLV/CTV, SEM, Social, and the primary partners/publishers/platforms in the space).
- Conceptual grasp of the entire process of media strategy & activation.
- Proactive communicator: comfortable working with many team leads and managing numerous day-to-day communications; someone who will proactively ask questions and seek answers.
- An effective communicator: ability to write clearly, speak professionally and translate data analysis into insights that strategists, planners, and buyers can act upon.
- Comfortable working with large sets of media data: capable of identifying discrepancies and reclassifying or mapping values in data to follow custom account classification guidelines.
- Understands the purpose and value of taxonomies in data.
- Technical Skills: Moderate to proficient skill in Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookups, etc).
- Knowledge of media billings and buying tools a plus.
