Job Opportunity: Manager, Enterprise AI & Research at Vanguard

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Development

Hires, evaluates, and supervises team members. Provides essential guidance and training to foster development. Sets performance standards, conducts reviews, and makes informed compensation decisions following Human Resources policies.

Advanced Analytics

Engages in deep dive diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics to support data-driven business decisions. Innovates by creating alternative modeling approaches to address complex designs and advance future capabilities.

AI Research Management

Oversees a team dedicated to AI research projects focusing on predictive and prescriptive analytics. Supports the continuous evolution and strategic advancement of Vanguard's data science capabilities.

Data Integrity

Identifies and resolves data inconsistencies. Documents data assumptions and seeks out data to fill gaps.

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborates with internal stakeholders to understand business processes, develop hypotheses, structure requests, and translate requirements into actionable analytic approaches.

Statistical Consultation

Guides test design, research methodologies, and model validation. Provides expert statistical consultation and contributes to cross-functional strategic initiatives.

Operational Execution

Plans and executes operational strategies to achieve department goals. Collaborates with department or functional heads to plan, develop, and achieve near-term objectives.

Insight Communication

Prepares, reviews, and presents insights and actionable recommendations. Communicates complex analytical findings and implications to business leaders.

Additional Duties

Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of five years of related work experience in analytical roles.
• Proficient in data wrangling and programming for large-scale statistical modeling.
• Experienced in statistical and machine learning methods.
• Master’s degree in relevant fields (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Electrical & Computer Engineering).
• At least 3+ years of experience in AI/ML research within an industry or academic setting.
• Proficiency in machine learning development lifecycle and deep learning methods (GNN, Knowledge Graph, Transformers, GANs, DQN, VAE, SHAP, etc.).
• Strong software engineering skills with hands-on experience in machine learning frameworks (numpy, scikit-learn, keras, PyTorch, Tensorflow).
• Ability to write clean, well-documented code adhering to industry standards.
