The Data team at Swile is responsible for monetizing data assets. We accomplish this in a variety of ways such as enabling better decision making, improving operations and efficiencies, measurably reducing risk, constructing data products, and more.

To achieve this we operate with a multidisciplinary team consisting of Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and Data Analysts who cover the entire data value chain from data ingestion to data exploitation.

At Swile, we have invested in a contemporary data stack (Snowflake, Stitch, Airflow, DBT, Looker, Metabase) to support us in our mission. We are always open to incorporating new technologies that can further enhance our efficiency.

Your role:
Responsible for deeply transforming the company by placing data at the core of decision making. The Data Analytics Manager will continually refine our approach to Data Analytics fostering a data-driven culture throughout the organization. They will ensure that best practices and high-quality data are available not just for their team, but to all internal stakeholders as well.

You will be leading a team of data analytics engineers and data analysts, and will expect from our data engineers in France, high-quality data so as to maintain reliable dashboards, APIs and good data governance across the organization.

Mission

  • Develop frameworks and tools to magnify insight generation to meet critical business and product requirements
  • Collaborate and build robust partnerships with Product and AI/ML teams.
  • Influence the course of data in decision making
  • Bolster faith in our data by advocating for data quality throughout the stack
  • Influence event logging instrumentation best practices and participate in architectural designs

Requirements

  • Preferably 5+ years of work experience within product and business analytics areas
  • Preferably 2+ years experience being a manager of data analysts and data analytics engineers
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields, or equivalent work experience.
  • Expertise in SQL and proficiency in at least one data engineering language, like Python or Scala
  • Experience with Metabase
  • Experience with Snowflake
  • Experience with Data Observability and Monitoring (DBT)
  • Experience with ETLs tools like Stitch or Airflow
  • Clear and advanced communication skills: ability to simplify complex ideas for technical and non-technical stakeholders in Portuguese and English. French is a bonus.
  • Strong ability to forge trustworthy partnerships across working teams

It is great if you have

  • Master's Degree/PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related fields
  • Experience with real-time data processing tools such as Apache Flink, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka
  • Prior experience within Data Science projects
