Job Description Summary with focus on communication: At Blend360, our Data Scientists work with business leaders to solve our clients' challenges. We work with clients in various areas of modern business; marketing, revenue management, customer service, inventory management, etc. Our Lead Data Scientists possess the business acumen to apply Data Science to various business models and situations. Our Data Science Managers are excellent communicators able to clearly and concisely describe complex concepts. They should be able to work independently, gathering requirements, developing roadmaps, and delivering results. Teamwork and Leadership: We operate as a team; our Data Science Managers lead through mentoring and managing our Data Scientists, but also lead by example. Technical know-how: Our Data Scientists possess a wide range of knowledge on various data and mathematical solutions, covering statistical analyses, predictive modeling, machine learning, and experimental design. We explore different data sources, discover patterns in raw data, create insightful variables and develop competing models using various machine learning algorithms. We validate and cross-validate our findings to ensure their long-term functionality. Responsibilities -Providing ethical and positive leadership that motivates and develops employees. -Directly managing analysts' project work and overall performance. -Hiring and training new employees. -Analyzing team KPIs, devising alternative methods to achieve goals. -Building positive and productive relationships with clients for business growth. -Understanding client needs and customizing business processes accordingly. -Prompt response to client concerns and professional management of requests. -Working as a strategic partner with leadership teams to meet client needs. -Working with practice leaders to understand business problems, industry contexts, data sources, risks, and constraints. -Developing a project plan, including milestones, dates, and contingency plans. -Delivering analytics tools to provide insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics. -Conducting statistical data analysis and documenting key insights and findings for decision making. -Training, validating, and cross-validating predictive models and machine learning algorithms. -Assisting clients in deploying models and algorithms within their own architecture. Qualifications -A MS degree in Statistics, Math, Data Analytics, or a related field. -4 - 5+ years of professional experience in Advanced Data Science, such as predictive modeling, statistical analysis, machine learning, text mining, geospatial analytics, time series forecasting, optimization. -Experience with one or more Advanced Data Science software languages (R, Python, Scala, SAS). -Experience with SQL, relational databases, Hadoop/Hive. -Experience with spark and data-frames in PySpark or Scala. -Experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Optimizely a plus. -All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
