Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Manager Strategic Data Analyst at Knorr-Bremse, your main tasks will include:

• Acting as a partner and "bridge builder" between business units to facilitate the adoption of digital technologies.
• Contributing to the development of a strategic central advisory unit that serves as a base for knowledge-sharing and innovation.
• Defining, establishing, and monitoring digitalization initiatives in collaboration with various departments, always considering the added value to Knorr-Bremse.
• Experimenting and building showcases with new technologies in close cooperation with Knorr-Bremse IT.
• Creating quick and pragmatic showcases for departments to help overcome entry barriers.
• Coordinating applications, tracking value realization, and ensuring successful change management among users.
• Participating in the development of communication strategies and promoting dialogue between the digital team and organizational units.
• Driving and supporting data-related topics with Knorr-Bremse IT.

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• An excellent university degree (Master/Bachelor) in Computer Science, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in data analysis, modeling, and reporting, ideally in the industrial sector.
• Advanced skills in SAP, and data transformation with Python for semi/unstructured data, and SQL for structured data.
• Programming knowledge in Python or R, and statistical analysis including understanding of statistical methods and hypothesis testing.
• Machine learning expertise, particularly supervised and unsupervised learning techniques.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Power BI.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-solving skills, a curious mindset to explore data, ask relevant questions, and discover hidden insights.
• Readiness to collaborate with cross-functional teams and adaptability to changing environments.
