Background Information

The Wafer Alignment department is part of the Metrology and Machine Control cluster within the Development & Engineering sector of ASML. Our key responsibility is to create a horizontal wafer deformation model from measurements and communicate it to the scanner's exposure side, optimizing both overlay and productivity objectives.

Your Assignment

As a Wafer Alignment engineer intern, you'll develop tooling for data analyses, migrating tools from MATLAB to Julia. This hands-on assignment offers exposure to one of the most innovative Metrology departments and the practical application of the Julia programming language.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for this internship:

• Is a bachelor student in Physics, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Has basic programming knowledge and an understanding of linear algebra (matrix vector operations, matrix inversion).
• Familiar with data structures (e.g., Julia/Python, pandas data frames).
• Is proactive and capable of working independently.
• Possesses excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.

This is an apprentice bachelor internship with a flexible duration of 3 to 6 months, for 3-5 days a week, starting in August/September 2024. Please note, applicants must be enrolled at an educational institution for the entirety of the internship.
