About the Role

We are currently seeking multiple Data Engineers to become part of our team of healthcare analytics experts. If you have a deep understanding of data structures and data modeling techniques, and you are passionate about creating data products that meet diverse customer needs, this role is for you. As a Data Engineer at Oracle, you will:

  • Create and maintain data pipelines using ELT and ETL processes.
  • Consolidate requirements to build reusable data products.
  • Collaborate with product management and analysts to meet performance objectives.
  • Develop visualizations to enable end-user self-service analytics.
  • Incorporate data from multiple healthcare domains to support outcome research and analysis.
  • Build tools to collect and display operational metrics on pipeline throughput and success.
  • Ensure data privacy and meet all security requirements.
  • Maintain focus on functionality and optimization improvements.

Qualifications

We seek candidates with the following core qualifications:

  • Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases including Oracle.
  • Proven ability in building and optimizing data architectures and datasets.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as OAC, Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, and Looker.
  • Proficiency in data-oriented scripting languages: Python, R, Scala, etc.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field and over 5 years of experience in a Data Engineer role.

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of Healthcare data domains – Claims, EHR, PBM.
  • Experience in data transformation, metadata management, and workload management processes.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Comfort with working in structured SDLC environments (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Experience with source control systems, issue tracking, and development KPIs.

Compensation and Benefits

For US-based roles, the hiring range is $94,200 to $223,500 per annum, with potential eligibility for bonuses and equity. Oracle offers a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
