About the Opportunity

Summary: Northeastern University is seeking a highly skilled Project Data Analyst to support our project teams and foster data-driven decision-making. This role involves collaboration with various project functional areas and key contacts across different divisions, helping to seamlessly integrate complex data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting and Data Analysis:

• Create and refine data requests aligning with complex business processes.
• Develop specialized reports using tools like Workday FINANCE, Prism, and SQL.
• Engage in rigorous testing and validation of data accuracy in partnership with Project Leads.
• Provide ad-hoc queries and robust reporting solutions using SQL Developer and Workday.

Data Integrity & Security:

• Conduct data audits and rectify integration discrepancies to uphold high data integrity levels.
• Create audit queries to ensure the validity of data across all project systems.

Training & Communications:

• Develop and update essential training materials, conduct training sessions on Workday functionalities.
• Maintain a repository of standard reports and documentation for end-user support.

Required Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, General Business, or a closely related field.

Professional Experience: At least 3-5 years in data analytics roles with hands-on experience in SQL query and Workday Finance, particularly across FINANCE/Payroll modules.

Technical Skills: High proficiency in SQL Query, strong Microsoft Excel skills, and preferred familiarity with Workday and Prism systems.

Core Competencies: Exceptional analytical, organizational, and time management skills. A proactive problem-solver with excellent customer service and interpersonal communication abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
